ChoirMom Posted May 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2006 I don't remember any type of evening deck party taking place during our southbound Alaskan cruise in May, 2005.
lysolqn Posted May 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2006 Have cruised Alaska six times (HAL, RCCL and X) - no evening deck parties as there are on other itineraries.

enyaw Posted May 3, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2006 I was on the Radiance (r/t Vancouver) back in 2004 and yes, there was one afternoon where they bbq'd salmon--steaks--chicken and other "stuff" out on deck. I can't recall which afternoon it was--but the scenery was gorgeous and the food was delicious. It was very popular---so I would imagine it would still be around. enyaw Posted May 3, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Nevermind---I thought I was looking at the Royal Caribbean boards---hence the Radiance. Sorry :)

LV2COOK Posted May 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted May 3, 2006 We sailed the Mercury last summer from Seattle and they had a wonderful sail away. The morning we were in Glacier Bay they served soup in bread bowls up on deck. And of course sold super expensive hot choclate and coffee with liquors. The scenery was spectacular. Enjoy!!
