Oceanic - Potentially Sad News

I was saddened by a report I read in the newsletter from the World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society (which organization I feel is reputable) that there is a rumor out there that the Oceanic will be retired by its current owner, Pullmantur of Spain, by the end of this year. I hope that either the rumor turns out to be just that, or that another operator will buy the ship. It feels like you just got bad news about a dear friend. The Oceanic certainly has a "soul" unlike most other ships I've sailed. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks.

Hi, this is my first time writting. I certainly hope this is only a rumour. Also, read that there is a reunion at Divino's in NYC. I stopped by there and left my # for info but no response yet, will go by again but if anyone knows when the next one is please let me know. I am not online everyday usually 3 or 4 times a week. I have been on many cruises and I always compare. Always have a great time but never like on the Oceanic !
