My husband and I took our very first cruise out of New Orleans on Commodore's Enchanted Isle in the month of December. It was for our anniversary a year or two prior to 1990. Can anyone tell me what year the Enchanted Isle stopped sailing? That is the only one of our cruises we can't pin down to a particular year. Great food and great service. Thanks!

The Enchanted Isle ceased sailing in late 2001 after 9-11. Commodore could not compete with Carnival Cruise Lines discounted mega ships along with the recent down turn of the cruise industry after the events of 9-11 and the company filed for bankruptcy in late 2001. In 2003 the Enchanted Isle was renamed New Orleans and sailed to Alang India to be scrapped.
