fyrfyterwife Posted May 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2006 I was hoping someone could reccomend a few good places to shop for souvenirs and jewelry. I was also wondering if there is any website that offers coupons to stores to help bring you in while you are in St. Thomas
Ms411 Posted May 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2006 There are coupon books right at the dock - I think it's called a shopping guide or something. The Welcome Center should have some if the guides are not out on display for the taking. Captain's Corner is THE place for souvenirs - big selection and great prices. They also sell sterling silver, larimar, and conch shell jewelry in addition to other island-themed costume/casual jewelry. For gold and other precious jewelry, the selection of stores can be overwhelming. Almost everybody has their favorite store, and it usually boils down to getting what they consider a good price on the piece they selected. Also keep in mind that most stores carry at least 14KT gold, and in the States, some stores sell 10KT. The more gold, the higher the price and the richer/deeper the color.
