I cant stop my leg!

I woke up this morning overwhelmed, work is getting very very stressful, we have a family gathering at my house this weekend and we have way too much work to do before then, My wife has asked me to create a DVD sendoff for her co-worker that is retiring after 20 years and the party is Thursday including video and stills and selected music.

I got up feeling overwhelmed by all I have to do this week. :(

I forgot to pick up the mail yesterday afternoon so on my way out the door, I looked in the mail box

There was a large envelope from Carnival! A thick ticket book, papers and 6 bright yellow luggage tags that say "Empress Deck Aft" on them! I flipped through the ticket book and saw the "complete" marking on our fun pass stuff.

Now I am grinning from ear to ear, dancing around and the world seems full of promise again! :)

Wooooo Hoooooo! :D

33 days to go.

Man you are not kidding, she scanned over 50 pictures last night, taking video of more people talking aobut the retieree today and set 4 CD's on my computer desk.

In the back of my mind I know that some 250 people are going to be watching this DVD presentation... and I have 2 evenings to put it together.

If it wasnt for getting my docs today I would be felling totally doomed.

I just went home for lunch, looked at the Docs and found our room number is printed on the tickets, which makes sense as I did book as specific room, that makes it easy to fill out the luggage tags.

The "I cant stop my leg" thing was actually a quote from an old comedy routine of Robert Kline. He would stand on stage stomping his right leg to a beat and playing a harmonica then look up and shout "I cant stop my leg!" :)

p.s. found the song

Robert Klein: [ singing ]

"I can't stop my leg!

I can't stop my leg, babe!

I can't stop my leg!

I can't stop my leg, pretty babe."

[ harmonica ]

"Can you stop my leg?"

[ the band strikes a beat, as Klein stills his leg on the stage ]

"My leg stopped!

Woo-hoo, thank the Lord.

I want to thank the Lord for stoppin' my leg.

Woo-hoo, yeah!"

[ his leg begin stomping again, as the band accompanies the beat ]

"There it goes again!

There, there it goes again!

There, there, there it goes

There it goes again..!"
