Cabins for 5 on Paradise?

Can we book one cabin for Dh kids and me on Paradise? I noticed that some ships only have quads, but that some can accommodate up to 5. Any help would be great.

P.S. Yes I tried to search for this answer and came up empty.

Hey Molly,

There are a few options, but it would help to know how big/how old your kids are.

Without knowing that...

You could do a quad with a rollaway, but that is reeaally tight.

Or you could do a Category 12 (which is a great cabin), king and double convertable sofa, with a rollaway, which would be very roomy, lots of space and you'd get a balcony.

A few more details of your situation, and what you're looking for, and I (as well as other CruiseCritics) can help you out with the more specific options available.

Paradise is one of the ships that allow rollaways.

We did an inside cabin with 5 of us. myself and 4 kids- 13, 15, 17 and 19

Yes-- you will get a rollaway- we did away with the rollaway and jsut used the mattress.

Have you priced out the cruise to see how much it will save if you put all of you in one cabin vs 2 cabins.?

By booking 5 of us in one cabin it saved over 700.

Coming up we booked on the Elation for 2 cabins since the savings was only 200.00

If you need to book 5 in one cabin it is rough but having a plan will keep your sanity...showers in the gym will help- not only are the stalls bigger but you get washed with 6 different shower heads.

or

have the kids take showers during the day at different times.

An over the door shoe holder to keep the cabin organized..there is only one desk top and it is not very large.. we accumlate a lot of crap during the week you jsut wont believe...

You need 200pp for a deposit.

Thanks for the info, I am not going to save much money by booking us all in one room, but I am thinking about the age requirments (DH and I would have to stay in separate cabins) , rather not spend our anniversary in different cabins. The deposit is $200.00 PP??? Wow the cruise is only $299!

Not true. If you book two cabins side by side, or across the hall from each other, you can book the kids in one room and the parents in the other. This does not apply to guarantees however. The deposit is just that a deposit. Any funds not spent will be returned the last night.

Booking a parent in the same room with kids is for guarantees only.

Since your cabins should be next to each other or across the hall do not take the chance with a gurantee.

that 299 pp is that including taxes and port charges?

You can put down any cash amount as long as it is enough to cover the tips. I always put cash down and usually around 50 more than the tips as I dont tend to spend alot on the ship. Other than the casino (lol). So on the paradise 4 day trip for a family of five you would need at least 200 to cover the tips for everyone. I have done 5 to a cabin on the paradise and the ecstasy. My sister and our three kids. 10, 15, and 17. We didn't find it to be a problem for us. We had the rollaway bed. Have fun.

I believe they were talking about a deposit on the cruise itself, not on cash for the sail and sign.

Donna is right, I was talking about the deposit on the cruise, not sail & sign. No the $299.00 does not include taxes and port charges, but a $200.00 deposit will still be in excess of 60% of the total cost. Thanks to all for the info on booking room right next to eachother:D
