Has anyone stayed here ? I have heard good and Bad

Bad- choose somewhere else. They are famous for over booking and the overflow moving to less desirable locations. Poor management etc. I have never seen any good reports??

We stayed there in June...would not ever stay there again. They were disorganized and our room was not ready...room too small, bed tilted down at the head and broken pane of glass in the window and their free evening cocktail was a joke. I wanted somewhere quaint, this wasn't it. We stayed the two nights, just too much hassle to look for something else. It was somewhere we will always remember though!

Friends of mine booked it for a three-night stay last year. I would say NO, according to their experience.

They had reservations for a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. When they arrived, they were first shown to a room on the lower level (as she described it, down a little alleyway off the courtyard), which she said was not well lit, and she felt uneasy. So, they ended up in an upper room in a corner with no view whatsoever. VERY unhappy.:mad:

 

They DID check out the next morning and stayed at the Monteleone the other two nights.

I stayed 4 nights , had a good room ,talked them out of the safe charge,a great location,and nice little bar for your free drink.

Thanks GTV Crusier for posting your findings on this hotel - I was worried until I saw your last post, I booked two friends into there for a pre-cruise night in Dec! They are young though and probably would have forgiven any small undesirable attributes! (after a night in the French Quarter, they probabaly won't even notice anyways....)
