BlondyX Posted June 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2006 I need help from the experienced Alaska travelers, please! Going to Alaska August 13th on Celebrity from Vancouver. I thought I had all of our excursions pretty much decided and now I don't know what to do. This is what we WERE going to do: Ketchikan: Misty Fjords Flightseeing Lumberjack Show Juneau: Whale Watching Sitka: Kayaking But after reading the glacial landing thread, I'm afraid if we don't do that, we'll be missing out on an experience of a lifetime. But Whale Watching has been a dream of mine forever. The Glacial landing and Whale Watching are both in JUNEAU! If the whale watching excursions were available elsewhere it would be easy to flip flop. I am doing 2 pre cruise days in Vancouver, and I suppose I could do whale watching there. I need advice please!
libbylatte Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Wait, couldn't you do both in Juneau? I know that Orca Enterprises has a later whale watching at 11:30 which allowed me to book the helicopter tour for that morning. Would that work for you? Budget Queen Posted June 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 I am a big advocate of glacier helicopter landings, a wonderful excursion. If you do both in Juneau, consider cobooking, since it will save an hour in shuttle time.
Cruisechick82 Posted June 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2006 You can cobook with Coastal and Orca Enterprises together for the glacier landing and whale watching.
