S.B. Carnival Spirit 9pm out of Whitter ?dinner time

With the ship leaving so late what time do things happen on that first night. Are the dinning rooms open? Camp carnival? musterdrill time?

I'm hoping someone will be willing to share their SB Capers so we can find out ALL the good things to come.

We left on a Princess cruise at 9:30pm out of Whittier. Dinner was anytime seating. Muster drill was at 8pm. Those who were late getting onboard had an alternate muster drill the next day.

I've only sailed Carnival when they went out of Seward. But the dining was open seating at that time, the first night.

We just returned from the Carnival Spirit June 7 southbound. Although we were assigned late seating (8:15), when we boarded, we were given a dinner voucher for early seating the first night only. We were able to board right off the AKRR train from Anchorage at 12:20, and our cabins were ready, although our luggage didn't arrive until after dinner.

 

Muster drill was held at 9:30am the next morning (Thursday).

We were also on the June 7 southbound Carnival Spirit. We boarded the ship at 4 p.m. We had late seating, so we spent a few hours investigating and wandering around. It was great! Sorry, but I don't know about Camp Carnival.

Thankyou Canoe and Danajw. I just wanted to have some idea of what to expect the first night. We won't be getting to the ship until 6pm or so.

Haven't looked around the boards yet - came right into this thread. Hope you post a full review, Canue & DanaJW, if you haven't already. Don't leave anything out. Those of us who are obsessed with our future Spirit SB cruises are awaiting a 'fix'. ;) We need a review!!!
