Port of Miami Question

Hi All,

 

We'll be disembarking in Miami next winter and have four days before our flight home, plan on renting a car and going to Key West. Does anyone know if we can rent a car at the Port of Miami and return it to the airport at the end of the rental period? If not, I'm thinking we'll have to take a taxi to the airport and pick up a rental car there.

Hertz has a rental facility right near the port on 1st street, near the Intercontinental, and they offer a shuttle service to and from the port. It's easy to pick up at this location and drop off elsewhere; just beware of possible hidden fees. Thrifty also offers a shuttle from the port to their airport facility where you can rent and be on your way. A bit of backtracking, but not bad.

Thanks for the info. Thrifty often has the best rates so they're who we usually end up renting from.
