Hi DD & myself are on Celebrity's Eastern Caribbean in Feb, & we are stopping in St. Thomas. We are considering booking a Godfrey Tour I am looking for any info on the company. How long are the tour's? I noticed that his price is less then the ship's excursion. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

we are going to St Thomas for the day via Carnival andI would like to be at a good beach with a place that serves some food and alcoholic bev's, I was wanting to go to St Johns for the day, which beach would you suggest? I was thinking of trunk bay. Or would it be better to stay in St Thomas? I hear that St John's beaches are much nicer.

Hi!

Hope I am not repeating a question....I looked through most of the posts on here..

1) I don't snorkle or swim...are there "jungle" type adventures or tours around?

2) Are there internet cafes? The ship is sooo expensive for that!

Just a suggestion... I think readers of this thread should go ahead and start a new thread with their questions as this one is loaded with questions on all sorts of topics... quite a few unanswered that might have received better responses if they were a new topic with related subject line. ;)

Going to try and answer some of the unanswered questions...

Exbrit – A taxi from Havensight to Home Depot will run you about $6 pp, one way for a shared taxi. The Home Depot looks very much like stateside Home Depots :).

HLR – the Virgin Islands National Park is on St. John and it has quite a few hiking trails so you could head over there and hike in the forest. Here is their website http://www.nps.gov/viis/index.htm. Yes there are a couple internet cafes in Havensight, where most ships dock and a couple downtown.

Jbrambach – There is currently construction going on at the Red Hook Dock so parking can be a pain. Many folks just park on the side of the road leading to the ferry dock. If you do this, pull off the road as much as possible and try to find a spot where there isn’t a big drop off. The parking lot down the road was supposed to be used with a ‘shuttle’ running back and forth but I am not sure this is actually happening.

MoonDance – you can review the beach guides for both St. Thomas and St. John at http://www.*****/stthomas/beaches_stt/ for St. Thomas and http://www.*****/stjohn/beaches_stj/ for St. John and see if you can find a beach that suits your needs and likes. Trunk bay on St. John does have a concession stand that serves burgers, sandwiches and has beers. If you wanted mixed drinks and more drink options you might try Caneel Bay on St. John or Great Cruz Bay (which both have resorts on site so resort restaurant/bar). On St. Thomas lots of the beaches have resort/restaurant/bars on site, the beach guides mentioned includes this info.

Guindalf – the last time I checked into scooters it was around $55-$60 a day.

Pack – no ATV rentals that I know of on St. Thomas.

4boys4mom – you are likely on your cruise right now but anyways Sapphire’s restaurant hadn’t reopened as of a few weeks ago when I last checked. Their gift shop did have an assortment of bottled drinks/beers and chips, snacks, microwavable stuff (and a microwave to cook it), some deli sandwiches.

Ezcruizer – you can find the route for getting to St. John at http://www.*****/general_usvi/cruiseship/cruiseguide_page1.php, scroll to the bottom of the page.

Tvaud – pretty sure you can find your champagne at one of the many stores in Havensight or downtown. Not sure on the price.
