Tours In Juneau

Last year in Juneau, we rented a car so we'd have enough time at Mendenhall Glacier and so we could go to the Museum but, it's $26. to get to the Airport and $26. again after you return the car.........an expensive rental!:p

I didn't notice, but perhaps someone can help me here. Can we just pick up a tour to the glacier right where we disembark as in many ports? Or, does the city bus go there so we could go and return when WE want to?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yes you can pickup a tour on the dock and I believe the bus goes there also. We were there a year ago and there were tour ooperators all over the dock. If you google Mendenhall you will find lots of information. Hope this helps. Vicki

To find the Alaska forum just go to the main "ports of call" page and you will see it listed right at the top.. lots of info there.
