Must Children cover knees too?

Packing, yahooooooooo! Only about a week to go. My whole family is going and we have about six kids traveling. Must they not wear shorts in religious buildings as well? Cherie

We did the Millennium Venice to Barcelona last year and my children were 12 and 9. They wore shorts most days with no problems anywhere, including churches.

Wow-thanks for asking this question. My kids will be 11 and 14 when we go, and they were really dreading the long pants thing. I may go ahead and get zipoffs for church days just in case though.

 

Do Italian kids wear shorts? Will my kids look completely out of place in shorts?

I got my son a pair of zipoffs too. But, my brother and sister are asking about 13 year olds, ya know they only wear what's in, and I'm not sure zipoffs are "in", ha! Cherie

Do your children wear shorts when they go into a church, synagogue or mosque in the US or UK? Do your children wear shorts when they go into a major city, NYC, Chicago, London? Mine doesn't and I won't let her do it in Euorpe either.
