Anyone having success with Priceline for dowtown Fort Lauderdale?

I just checked Hotwire and while they do not have anything on 17th Street, they have a three star across the street from the beach for $95 and another beach hotel for $56.

 

www.Sunny.org is a great way to get oriented to the beaches in the area. Must you stay on 17th Street? Other great places to stay very close by.
