we are booked at courtyard by marriot on collins st used to be cadillac hotel can anyone tell me if this is a good place also how far from port we are doing cruise on freedom thanks for any info.

The Courtyard on Collins is not in South Beach. The Courtyard in South Beach is on Washington which is not the hotel the OP is refering to.

 

The OP is asking about the Courtyard in Mid Beach which is around 40th and Collins.

 

It is an okay hotel but the area is very busy, not pedestrian friendly unless you walk the boardwalk behind the hotel, and you'll need a car to get anywhere.

 

Overall I would have no problems staying there.

I just booked last nite for the same hotel for 2 nites before our march cruise,

They had a nice oceanfront romance package for a $200 cheaper than going through RCCI. I haven't heard much about it myself, so I would appreciate some feedback as well... thanks:confused:
