SurprisingWoman Posted July 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2006 I can get a much cheaper flight for my cruise in January if I fly in and out of PBI, Palm Beach International. How difficult/more expensive will that be than FLL or MIA? Thanks, Brenda
Vidimom Posted July 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2006 PBI is quite a hike from Port Everglades and about 70 miles from Miami. You didn't say which port you will be cruising from. If you are going out of Port Everglades, get FLL. It's only 5 minutes from the airport and if you are cruising out of Miami, MIA. You can check with supershuttle for rates from all the airports, but unless it's a major difference in prices, go with the one closest to the port you need. You will be alot happier not having to deal with the crazy traffic here in South Florida!
sunlover5 Posted July 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2006 If it is a lot cheaper, it is not a long hike at all. Under 50 minutes!! We do it all the time. Inlaws live in WPB and if we get a cheaper flight from FLL we take that. Only time driving is bad is a.m. and 5:00 oclock rush hours. If you are only talking a few bucks definitely do FLL, but if a lot it is not bad and WPB is a really nice and easy airport to get in and out of!!!!!!!!!
