St. John Princess excursion

We signed up for an excursion through Princess to tour St. John. The description says that we will meet our guide when we get off the ferry. Will our trip include the ferry or will we have to find our own transportation to meet the guide? I was hoping that Princess would provide all transportation from the ship.

If you've booked a Princess tour, your tour tickets will have all the information on where to meet, what time, and what to bring. As I remember, the boat to St. John's is tied up right in front of the ship (or behind, depending on where the ship is on the dock.) When we took our tour, it met at the bottom of the gangway and we were led to the boat to St. John's. Princess tours include all transportation.

You'll pay a bit more for Princess tours but they do take care of you. That's not to say you don't get great service on independent tours but with Princess tours, you won't have to worry. If you have ANY questions, you can check with the Shore Excursion Desk after you board.

Just got back from the Crown and did the St. John "bus" tour.

 

Princess offered three St. John tours, the "bus" tour, the "eco walk" tour and the "Trunk Bay Snorkle" tour. All three of these tours took the same early morning ferry to St. John that picked up (and returned) everyone to the pier area directly in front of the ship.

 

Once on St. Johns we were divided up into the different groups. No confusion, easy to understand.

 

One thing to keep in mind. The tour was listed as being from 7:45AM til 12:15PM BUT!! 12:15PM was the time the tour ended at St.John. We did not get back to St. Thomas until 1PM and pretty much did not have enough time to go downtown for the better shopping.

 

We thought we would have time to do both the tour and downtown shopping but with the early port exit time, and then not getting back to St. Thomas until after 1PM, we did not.
