crop til ya drop Posted July 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2006 Did it work well for you? Where did you get it? What other options do I have that would work well?
RoofingPrincess Posted July 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2006 they make both, you can find them in the travel accessories section of a lot of department stores. I didn't like the idea of having something around my waist (I'm a little too fluffy already), so I opted for one that hangs around my neck. It's made of cotton, so it breathes against my skin. It's a bit of a pain in the butt to haul it out from under my shirt whenever I need my cash, but it beats losing it all to a pickpocket or purse snatcher! I only used it in port, of course; on ship, all I needed was my SeaPass.
Starr Mtn Posted July 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2006 Check out: Click here: Magellan's Travel Supplies (http://www.magellans.com/) They have excellent quality travel items. Also suggest using one of the newer items that go around your neck when traveling that hold your passport and tickets - which have space for currency for tips - very handy. jlp20 Posted July 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2006 On your computer, do a search for "money belt". leave the quotation marks around the words. You will get a number of hits. __________________ Anything that doesn't kill you, just hurts a hell of a lot Sea Princess Star Princess Carnival Pride Diamond Princess Sapphire Princess

edste Posted July 14, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2006 We got 2 from LLBean. I ordered them on line and used them in several ports. It's not the most comfortable, but it's beats a pickpocket getting it all.
Seven_Of_Nine Posted July 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2006 I suggest that you get one as it is better to be safe than sorry. It might be sluightly uncomfortabel at first but after a while you won't notice it and your money will be safe.
rkacruiser Posted July 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2006 My opinion of the neck pouch worn under one's clothing is the same as Roofing Princess. I bought mine through Magellan's. Having it is one less thing to worry about when one is ashore.
lv2crooz2 Posted July 15, 2006 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2006 I wouldn't travel without one and Target has a great, comfortable money holder for under ten bucks. You cannot hardly feel it on and it holds money, passports and my sail and sign cards. It is in their luggage section and it tan in color. Have a great cruise! Scottish Cruiser Posted July 16, 2006 #12 Share Posted July 16, 2006 I agree: better safe than sorry. I have travelled all over Europe and the Caribbean and always take mine. I do not remember where I got it, I have had it so long, but I have seen them in many places - posters above have a variety of sources. Yes, they can be uncomfortable and sweaty if in a warm climate, but well worth the peace of mind.
