Cruzfrek Posted July 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Does anyone know if the Victory 5 night cruise to Canada/Halifax will have a band and BBQ around the pool? Last time I was on Carnival we were going to Mexico and they did but that is more of a 'party' destination than Canada...does anyone know what the poolside entertainment is like? Thanks a bunch!! GoinCruisin Posted July 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2006 I've never seen a poolside bbq on any carnival ship. You might want to look at some recent reviews in the reviews section and see if it is mentioned.
salty dingo Posted July 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Can't remember this on Carnival. Our NCL Majesty cruise a couple years ago did have one as we left Grand Cayman. They roped off an area on the aft deck and had some charcoal grills going - chicken, ribs, sausage, etc... all set up on a big buffet on the Lido deck near the pool. It sure was good! The Half Moon Cay lunch is supposed to be a BBQ, but I do not know if they cook it there or bring it pre-cooked from the ship. It seems to me it would be easier to fire up the grill on the island but not sure - I will know in a couple months!
serene56 Posted July 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2006 http://www.carnival.com//Deck_Plan.aspx?shipCode=VI&deckCode=9 if you look at the deck plans you will see the aft pool on the lido deck has a bar- be que place.. it has hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled steaks and chicken sandwiches--plus fries. on the other side of the area is the pizza place--opened 24 hours a day. Behind both these areas are ice cream machines. The grill gets super busy between 2:30 - 4pm when the only thing available is the grill and pizza.
