Where to stay in Tampa?

Our last cruise, we stayed at the Radisson in the business district. It was great, close to the port and they shuttled us to the port. I can't seem to find it anymore. Does anyone know if It's a different named hotel now? We're looking for something to spend the night before our cruise. Would like to stay near the port and in a hotel that offers shuttle service to the port. Any ideas?

were coming in the night before our cruise also, and got a suite (2 bdrm) with queen beds and a pull our couch bed at the holiday inn express. they said we just have to call them from the luggage area at the airport when we are ready and they will pick us up, and then the next day to go to the port there is a $5.00 fee per person.. the price for the room is $125.00 sounded good to me .. if you look at boards there is a post for hotels in tampa.. good luck

Thanks everyone. Just booked the Best Western Westshore for a special rate of $79.00. It includes a complimentary shuttle from the airport. It's 5 miles from the port but they will shuttle us for $10.00 per person. Twenty dollars has to be cheaper than a taxi for five miles. Looks like a pretty nice hotel.

We are staying at the Hilton Garden in Ybor City. Little pricey but why not start off your vacation in the midst of things.
