HAL Westerdam Buchart Gardens Tour question

I found a thread asking about this tour from a year ago, but it didn't answer my questions. I want to know if the HAL tour of Buchart Gardens (which we've already booked due to our short time there) will stay long enough to see the fireworks display on Saturday night...and also if the tour bus has a deal to somehow bypass the lines that form at the gate on Saturday night to see the fireworks? Thank you in advance for anything you can tell me about the tour.

I don't think that the ship's tours stay for the fireworks. They start quite

late - 9:30-10:00pm and last for at least half an hour. It is not getting the

vehicles on the road afterward that is the problem. There are several thousand

people in the fireworks area who all leave at the same time. The paths to

the parking areas are narrow and it is dark. It takes us about another half

hour to get to our car after the show.

It is a shame that Saturday cruise visitors don't get to see the fireworks

but the logistics are just not favourable and the ships are not about to

alter their times to accomodate tours that would be consistently late

returning.

Thank you for your reply. I must say that I am a little bit sad to hear that I'll miss the the fireworks, but at least we'll get a whirlwind tour of the gardens. All of the photos I have seen of them are so beautiful!

Wow! Great Pics! Thanks for sharing. Were you there in the evening?

I did some reading in my shore excursion brochure, and it states that we will be there for the fireworks...so I am just about beside myself. I would still like to hear from anyone who was there through the ship on a Saturday night though. Will the bus dump us at the gate to stand in line? I don't mind waiting my turn. It's just that I will have my father and sister with me who both have arthritis and don't do too well standing for long periods of time.
