Carnival Conquest Deck 6 Balcony

This is our (DH, DS, and myself) first balcony, so I need to ask which cabin would be the best. I know a lot of people love the aft balconies but DH wants something midship (sea sickness and he is afraid of engine noise). I would also like a cabin somewhat close to the elevators. I guess my real question would be which side of the ship would be the best or does it really matter? (for port viewing, etc.) I don't think I will care where it is located at. We are all really excited about our first balcony!!:D Beans and weenies here we come for the next year:eek: !!! Just teasing!!!

We had our first balcony on the Conquest in 2003. We had cabin 6292 and there was no problem. I was concerned because it was over the sports bar, but we never heard a thing. Enjoy your balcony and have a great cruise!!

Thank you so much for answering my question. :) I am not sure that they will let me book that cabin, because it is for four people. Especially since it is during the summer and so many families cruise during that time. I would hate to be a room hog!! :D There is a cabin right next to it (6296) that is for 3, that looks pretty good.

Hoping to revive this thread. I am booked in 6292 and am concerned about noise from deck 5. The ship is virtually sold out (for balconies) so I don't have much options for moving unless I upgrade.

Please put my mind at ease :).

Thanks in advance for the input.

I checked and you are correct-- the sailing is gone for 4 people. WOW whats going on that week??

but have you checked prices for an inside across the hall for your other two people. One cruise it was only 200 to move to two cabins.

7365 is available but I dont like that area because it is across the hall from room service station- very noise with the glasses and plates being dropped from time to time

your cabin is above the sports bar i dont see any noise issues for sleeping at night time. Nap times might be a bit harder because this is where they play sports trivia during the day

Balconies for 2 people, which is what my party size is, are sold out. I was booked into a quad cabin only because there were no doubles left when I booked in February.

It's a one-way repo cruise which seems to be VERY popular. Only inside and oceanview cabins remain and a few quad balconies. The suites have been sold out for months. So it looks like #6292 is going to be my home. I'm relieved to hear it's above the sports bar and not the live entertainment portion of the casino.
