Parking near Intercontinental in Miami??

I was wanting to rent a car for the one night we're there to maybe slide over to South Beach, but I can't believe they want $25.00 just to park the car!! Does anyone know if there is any other parking options at or near the Intercontinental next to Bayside?

As with any metropolitan city parking is a premium in downtown Miami. Street parking is metered on Biscayne Blvd, $5 for an hour. Garage parking at Bayside Market is $15 (unless there's an event at the American Airlines Arena next door). ;)
