Question about NCL Sun--Balcony Cabins

Has anyone stayed in a balcony cabin on the Sun? We are going on a cruise at the end of October and I'm trying to decide which deck to book a balcony cabin......If anyone could give me any advice, thanks so much in advance!

We were on deck 10 -- cabin 0211. It was a great location, very close to the front stairs and 2 sets of elevators, and one floor down from the pool deck and spa.

I was actually a little worried when we got it, as the spa was above and I was afraid it might be noisy, but we never heard anything from above. After reading the message here, I think it was probably quieter than the ones under the buffet area.

Have a great time -- we loved the Sun and hope to be able to do a return trip on her someday.

Just look and find exactly where you are. We were over the show lounge in an aft balcony cabin and the music or entertainment could be heard through the floor if a loud show. Granted this was around 10:3pm or so - whenever the shows were and only on a loud production and only for a short period of time when we were generally not in the cabin. Just make sure you know and so are aware of what is around you. Have a great time! I would take the aft balcony again in a second! Debbie

I stayed on deck 9 - 9019 I would not recommend that cabin but loved deck 9. The door opened directly into the elevator area where folks gathered.

If you were a bit more forward 9014-17 or more mid 9030-37 it would be perfect. Easy access to 8 elevators in the area, cabins above and below, two flights up to the pool deck, two flights down to the casino:)

My DH and I were in 9076 an aft Suite Balcony Cabin, it was AWESOME. My Sister and Brother in law were in 9077 next door they loved it also. The Aft Balconys are great. Wen booking your cabin u should consider getting a cabin that has another cabin above and below it, that cuts down on a lot of noise.

minimom:) :) :)

We're considering Cabin 9077 for an Alaskan Cruise. If you popped in next door to visit your Sister and BIL, and saw the cabin, what is your opinion??

Thanks

Debbie,

Do you remember your stateroom number? The DBF and I are sailing the Sun in February in an aft balcony and I'm a little concerned after reading some of comments about noise. We are in 9077. My parents are also going and are in 9277. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: guess I should have continued reading... looking forward to the responses :p

Hi RichardK,

our rooms were adjoining so we went back and forth. Their cabin 9077 was very nice. Another nice thing about this cabin is that there is a cabin above and below u so it is pretty quite. I am pretty sure that the aft balconies are a little larger than the same catagory cabin balconies on the sides of the ship. I am sure woud enjoy this cabin if u have been in a balcony cabin before or any other cabin lower than a balcony.

minimom:) :) :)

We were on deck 10 last time as well: I think our our cabin was 0240; same thing, only toward the aft; we loved it. NMNita
