RYPERO Posted July 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2004 I am little confused about which restraunts are PC on the Star, which ones are traditional and which ones come with an extra charge. Any help is appreciated.
sue d. miller Posted July 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2004 When we sailed on the Golden, we had the Cannetello dining room, that was the traditional D.R. It was all the way aft. The two other dining rooms, mid ship on decks 5 & 6, were the PC D.Rs. The alternative dining rooms [fee] were the Sterling steakhouse and Sabbatinis. The Horizon court is the buffet. The dining rooms on the Star will be in the same place, but with different names.
BJS Posted July 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2004 I am little confused about which restraunts are PC on the Star, which ones are traditional and which ones come with an extra charge. Any help is appreciated. Hope this will answer all your questions. When you look at the dining for the different ships the ones that show dinner 5:30 - 10 PM are the PC "anytime" dining rooms. Rare geoherb Posted July 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2004 When we were on the Star Princess last summer, the Amalfi dining room was the traditional one. The Portofino and Capri dining rooms were PC. Both of them are in the center of the ship. The Portofino dining room was the one with open seating breakfast and lunch and afternoon tea. One day, when it became too crowded at lunch, they started leading a few passengers to the Amalfi dining room. There is a kitchen in between the Amalfi and Portofino dining rooms, so waiters led people up the stairs, through the photo gallery, and then down the stairs. The Amalfi dining room wasn't regularly open for breakfast and lunch.
