Balcony GTY or specific balcony

Going on the Carnival Legend 1/30/05 and am thinking of either booking a balcony 8A guarantee or a specific cabin. Which is better?

Well if you don't care where you cabin will be the guarantee is your best bet. I particularly don't like cabins up front, so I choose a specific cabin.

We lucked out with our Balcony GTY and got a wheelchair accessable cabin. 2x as large. Balcony, bathroom and shower included. It was bigger than a minisuite. Loved it.

Like the poster stated---if you dont care where your cabin is located book a guarantee. I dont want to be located under a disco or club so I book my own cabin.

Booking gaurantee is also cheaper.

we did that once and we were upgraded to a 8D but way at the front of the ship. on a very large ship (110,000 tons and up) I would not do it you will probably be placed at the extreme ends. On a smaller ship its not that big a deal but you always take a chance.

I'm booked on the Legend for that date as well.
----took a chance and booked an 8A guarantee.....we'll see what happens.
