North West Flight Attendants on Strike?

Has anybody heard about NW flight attendants going on strike Aug 15? I am flying DTW to LAX Sept 4 and being from Canada we don't always get the news about the different strikes.

I have heard that the court has let them go on strike Aug 25. Last year the pilots and mechanics were on strike and they continued on. Now the flight attendents. Has anybody heard any more.

 

We fly to LA on Sept 4. Mother in law is panicking.

I heard about the 25th of August being the new strike start date. Its supposed to be called "chaos", with random, unpredictable strikes to mess up the grid. NW has said they have no definite plan at the moment for how to deal with it, but that "they don't foresee a problem??" HUH???

I fly out of Detroit (I am from Windsor) on August 26th for our cruise....miss that flight, which was the only bookable flight we could afford, and we are SOL for the cruise...

With a little luck, maybe they will go out of business. I can never go to Minneapolis for less than $400 thanks to them having 95% of the gates. I would love to see some competition there.
