Sheik Posted August 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2006 A lot of people are wondering how to walk from the trainstations to the port or village. I made 2 screenshots of Google Earth and hope you'll appriciate this ;) Civitavecchia It's 10 minute walk from the trainstation to the entrance of the port. By train from Rome to Civitavecchia: - Termini --> Civitavecchia By train from Fiumicino to Civitavecchia: - Airport --> Trastevere - Trastevere --> Civitavecchia Villefranche-sur-mer Walk along the coastline to the last building. There you have to take the stairs to cross the railway. Good luck :D
NeoJava Posted August 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Took me two days of Google searches to confirm and reconfirm exactly what you show on these two pics!! Now, if you would do the same thing (mapping out from the port drop off to the train station) for Marseille and Naples, it would be PERFECT! For Villefranche after you get off the tender you walk along the beach/ocean side of the road as you indicated and I would say it's also about a 10 minute walk.
