Houston Residents-taxi cost to take me to Galveston

I am landing at Hobby close to midnight on a Friday night. Are there taxi's to take me to Galveston---Cost?

John - You may be better off checking the Galveston board for prices. There will be cabs - there will also be phones to call shuttles.

I live in Houston/Katy which is a veerrrryyyyy long and expensive cab ride to Galveston. I would recommend checking the Ports of Call boards for a Limo Service (there's one alot of folks use here) that costs around $60 pp. You could also do well by renting a car and dropping it off at the Galveston pier. It's really a straight shot down I-45 and hard to get lost.

 

I have also heard that Carnival isn't doing shuttles from Houston to Galveston anymore, but I'd double check this information on the POC boards as well to make sure it wasn't just a temporary thing.

Thank you all----gave me great idea rent a mini van!!! Why I hadn't thought of this earlier I do not know. There are 4 of us so the math($$) works out.
