Buying a digital camera before Alaska... please help

Actually Sady R it was the tax that Canada Customs charges plus GST of 7% (Goods and Services Tax) charged even if you buy from anywhere in the world ,plus a handling fee.Its as if they are saying 'Naughty Girl' to buy out of the Country.The punishment being all these extra taxes. Yet everyday I see our neighbours from across the border buying goods from us in Vancouver with the good rate of exchange.One gentleman comes up especially to buy some decent TEA every month..

Its a great shame that we cannot shop across borders without penalities.

Maybe one day.....I can dream .............
