Garden Villas full every cruise???

Just curious if the Garden Villas are taken for every cruise. Do they upgrade people into them if they are not sold? ...or do they just sit empty?

the upgrade department fills them up weeks before the cruise by calling people with offers. They were full up on the cruises I did

Yes they do sail empty if the price isn't met either by purchase or upsell.

 

They have a certain rock bottom price on offer, and if it's not accepted, they'd rather see it sail empty.

 

I was in my TA's office today as he received a list of discounted Villas from now until 10-30. Some great deals! And those are going to be the upsell prices.(roughly twice the price of an owner's)

Out of the 5 cruises we have taken on the Dawn, They have been sold out only once. Our CC's Meet & Greet has been given tours of them when they are open.

One of our CC's had the GV on our last cruise and we all were invited to a cocktail party on a sea day.

 

It's a beautiful place.

I guess one question is can they upgrade you to a Garden Villa?

Last September one GV was unoccupied. After our CC meeting Alex, the concierge, gave us the tour. He said that use of the GV for the remainder was going to be given away at Bingo that afternoon or evening.

 

We saw Alex later and he said that it was won by a couple on their first cruise. They went from an inside to the GV:D

Bingo Villa giveaway, what a wonderful idea! Even better than first-time cruisers booked in an inside cabin had the chance to win it!
