Hand Sanitizers on RCI ships?

Recommended Posts

The problem with this is that using hand sanitizer creates resistant germs and creates a false sense of security.

There is no scientific evidence to support the claim since the sanitizers used on cruise ships are alcohol based. Alcohol based hand sanitizers evaporate quickly and leave no residual.

There may be some evidence that long-lasting sanitizers that are not alcohol based may, in some cases, assist in development of resisitance.
