Need Help with Transportation from airport to Port Canerveral

We are a party of 4 (one person handicapped in a scooter) looking to find reasonable transportation to and from the airport. Carnival uses Meers transportation at a rate of $50/pp. Does anyone know of a less expensive alternative that would not "HERD" us to the pier?

Last year we were a group on the Glory that arrived on different days and times around the Orlando area. We all used Art's Shuttle and found them to be reliable and we were satisfied with their pricing. They do have a website which I believe is: Artsshuttle.com

We have cruised out of Pt. Canaveral a number of times. We have found that the cheapest and easiest way to get to the port is to rent a car from Avis (one-way). It is a straight shot to the port down the Beeline Expressway. When you drop the car off at Avis they have a van that will transport you to the port (free). I think we paid something like $30 (one-way). On the return you hop on the Avis van at the port and go back to their shop and pick up your car for the return to the airport. The best part of driving yourself to the port is being able to stop at the grocery store and any other place you feel like.

We're sailing on the Glory (12 in our group) in October and I received a quote from http://www.abusytraveler.com, they quoted us $150.00 each way which is $25.00 pp round trip plus tip. It may be alot less for fewer people. Try their web site. I found them on the Orlando airport web site. :)

We rented from Avis also. Easy drive and about $25-30 each way, not as much waiting after the cruise either.

On our last cruise this past January, we (four adults) rented a car from Budget at the airport. The line was a bit long, but they had many agents working so it went fast. Cheaper than Avis. Returned the car to Budget at the port, they shuttled us to the ship. Very simple and hassle free. Going back to the airport, we just took the Disney bus.

We rented a car from Avis, which ended up cheaper and gave a way to go by a store if we forgot something or wanted a snack for the ride. I think it was around $30 one way for the rental.
