Looking Grand Cayman using google maps

I see that you have not many posts, so I'm gonna guess you are new here, and possibly also new to cruising and maybe have never been to Cayman.

Note that where you are seeing the cruiseships @ GC is an anomoly. Just as luck would have it, on this day the ships were using the alternate tendering site on the south side of the island. Unless they've changed since my last visit the primary tender location - and anchorages - are just west of Georgetown - just north of Eden Rock

or the center of this shot http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=grand+cayman&ie=UTF8&z=15&ll=19.294294,-81.384315&spn=0.018916,0.040512&t=k&om=1 (The tender piers are in the little cove below the cargo piers - the ships anchor or loiter to the west.)

I'm told this alternate tender site has been there for years. I have no reason to doubt that but in 30 + visits, often weeks at a time I swear I've never seen the ships use that one. Just a lucky day for the photog I guess!
