Hawkins Island Tour in Bermuda

Hey everyone who has "recently - within the last year" been to Bermuda!!

Did you do the Hawkins Island "Don't stop the Carnival Party"? What did you think about it? Was it a good time? Please tell us all of your experiences - good and bad. It's 90/pp, but you get all the food and drink/entertainment you could ever want. For that amount of money, we want to make sure 'tis as advertised, ya know?

We are going to Bermuda on the EMPRESS in under 2 weeks :D and we're seriously considering taking this tour...

(Yes, I know I'm going to be told to check the Ports of Call board - but there is no recent reviews on it. I'm hoping to get some people who recently came back on either of the E's Of The Seas ships.)

THANKS!!!!

I have never been to the Carnival Party but had reserved it for my cruise in Oct. I did a little more research online and it didn't seem like "my thing" especially with my DD of 10 years old. I cancelled the excursion. Looked like a lot of drinking with a lot of people that didn't look "of age", some dancing of the "grinding" kind, and overall did not seem to be clean to me.

This is MY opinion ONLY so please don't bash me. It just didn't seem like something I or my family would be interested in. If it's your thing, go for it!

WOW, How things have changed. We booked the Hawkins Island Don't Stop the Party when we sailed with Celebrity in 2000. It was fantastic! Food was great (buffet style) open bar and a show. We didn't notice anything about the evening that would suggest that it was not for children. None of the bumping and grinding you mentioned. Then again, this was in 2000 ... maybe they've changed their show to an "R" rating. Sad, if this were true...

Did you already book Snowball? If so, are you going to book through RCL or through the Hawkins Island website?

We are booking directly through Hawkins Island. Why give RCI the extra money if you don't have to? How are you booking, and how many in your group are going?

Herb - thanks for the good review!!! :D It's nice to hear from someone that actually did the excursion.
