Zuiderdam- coffee question

Hi all.

We're sailing July 24th on the Zuiderdam/Western Caribbean. We're avid coffee drinkers and on some cruises the coffee in the buffets and room service has been that nasty syrup stuff with hot water added and on others it's actually brewed java.

Can anyone tell me how the coffee is on the Zuiderdam?

Thanks!

Maybe you are thinking of RCCL coffee? On our Legend of the Seas cruise 10/02 we ended up skipping coffee because it was so bad. (And I never skip my coffee!) I read somewhere that they use a "liquid instant coffee" and mix it with water. It was terrible. I have not heard that HAL uses the that vile stuff. It was bad enough that I would not cruise RCCL again unless I heard from a reliable source that they have substantially improved their coffee!

:) sorry

Called it the Windjammer instead of Windstar.

We have been around several of the coffee machines on various HAL ships when they were making coffee and saw them open bags and add them to the machines. No liquid stuff so far on HAL. (That liquid stuff sounds horrible.)

:)
