Towels

They are in your stateroom -- and you can take them off the ship. Just try to keep track of them - because they say that they will charge you $20 per towel that is not returned to the room steward at the end of the cruise.

We used the towel and left them on the bathroom floor - and our room steward would replace them every day.

Towels are usually available for use by the pool and can be picked up at the pool. You should find beach towels in your cabin for use off the ship. You are responsible for the beach towels and will alledgedly be charged $30 for each if you lose them.

It's not a stupid question at all, and the answer varies.

When I was on Rhapsody in 2003, they had tons of towels at both pools, easily availble-just walk up and take as many as you want, then throw in the bin when you're done.

That was the last time I saw that set up-since then, they have gotten a bit stingey with the towels, you get one per person in your cabin, and you switch them out for dry ones, and that't it-no extras at the pools for the taking on most ships that I have been on (Monarch x 3, Navigator, Voyager, then Rhapsody a second time, no more towels)

They are getting stricter with the towels for a few reason, people steal them, and waste them so they do needless laundry which wastes water, and people use the towels to chair hog, and they just leave them all over poolside without turning them back in, so they try to keep the towels to a minimum when possible.

Hope that helps.:)
