***Live from the Pacific Princess***

T&J

Recommended Posts

I just had a quick lite bite to eat...some rice and soup in the Panorama Buffet for dinner....no one is up there at all but a couple of tables...I don't even know why they even open it at all for dinner?

Went back to bed around 4:30pm and took a nap and tried to rest for a couple of hours. The continues to be a little rough with some big swells every now and then but nothing like yesterday IMHO.

We arrive in Mauritius tomorrow morning at 8:00am although with this Captain we could get in even earlier. We are set to sail at 6:00pm. I might get a driver and go to the bird park etc....

Don't think the "Office" is in the cards tonight!

More to follow later tonight from the Pacific Princess.....

I don't like tea...YUK!

Tony

I don't like it either and only drink it when I'm sick. But somehow tea has healing powers; better than soup. Try the flavored herbal tea. I prefer the apple or the orange. Lemon isn't bad either.

The seas have improved this afternoon and it's not as rough as in the past 48 hours or so. Came back from lunch and had a great penne in fresh tomato sauce and garlic with chocolate tratuffo for dessert.

Went to the "Office" to check things out and helped out some players...my help might of been more usefull if the cards would have cooperated!

I really don't feel that well this afternoon this congestion seems to be turning into a flu perhaps...took something for it this afternoon but doesn't seem to be helping at all.

Might have to canel dinner for tonight and just take it easy.

More to follow from the Pacific Princess.

Hi Dave....

Will try to answer your queries one at a time.

1. The Royal cruise is starting in Athens on November 4th and I'm sure Tony will be doing lots of "live froms" from all his cruises in the upcoming months. We are also cruising together, with many other friends, on the Golden in March (starts in Buenos Aires).

2. We are in Boynton Beach, approx. 50+ miles from Miami. Probably about 60 to the port.

3. I am assuming you mean the Hard Rock Casino? If so, it's not too far from Port Everglades; perhaps 10 minute taxi ride.

Ok so the plan is to have breakfast in 15 minutes time and get my laundry bag ready for my cabin steward and we plan on going ashore around 9:30am or so and visit the bird park first.

Would you believe that the Internet Cafe is already full at 6:40am????

We are here in Mauritius from 8:00am until 6:00pm where we then set sail for Reunion Island the next day.

Alright going for my espressos now.

More to follow later this morning from the Pacific Princess.

Bill don't get me started about the internet issues on this ship since May 17th when I first came onboard. The maintenance of these machines is so poor it's out of control. One computer by the door has been out of order for 5 months and several each day have to be rebooted and you have to harrass them on the Pursers desk to get it done!...what a nightmare on this ship for internet!

Yes I heard about the new features for the Internet Cafe.

Tony,

We had similiar problems on the Grand when I was on for 28 Days in 04,

I had to bug them regularly at the Pursers Desk to RB:mad: With your Connections can't you get to someone who Cares? BTW, there is another way to reboot it yourself;) Goodnite, again! Bill

How funny is this. This morning the Captain comes on the PA and warning us that there is civil unrest in Port St Louis and not to go to that part of the island or near any public or governement buildings. They also printed a special bulletin and delivered it to our cabins early this morning as well. Turns out it's all happening in the Seychelles only a couple of thoussand miles away! They modified tours because of this as well this morning...we'll someone screwed up!

Going ashore now and seeing the Bird Park and then going to Crown Beach.

More to follow later this afternoon from the Pacific Princess.
