Ok just got back from dinner and had an exquisite meal tonight. I had the cesar salad, and a asparagus and chicken risotto appetizer and the Lamb Chops with the Linzer Torte for dessert.

Yes, 8062 is in a good spot, which is why we booked it for all 3 legs. As Tony stated, there are no minis on this ship. Had there been, we would have booked one of them. Minis on the PP are wonderful; so spacious. And when you're in a cabin for so many weeks space is really important. There's also a good spot for my coffee pot. :D And my comforter, which Tony would probably have reminded everyone.

Just booked 7086 Right below 8062;) 12 Days on Royal 9/17/07, will add it to our 12 Days on Emerald 9/02 for 24 Days in Eastern Med, all different ports except Corfu.:) We'll be OK with the BB as we won't be packing a Coffee pot or a comforter.:D :D Bill

LOL Bill. I would rethink the comforter though. Nothing like your own "blankie." You only need to bring it with you, not take it home. Makes for a nice gift to your room steward.

Hi Envy......

Tony said he'd check in in the AM before he left on the safari. However, his AM and our AM are two different things. Then again, he's probably going to be on line pretty soon. After all, it's 4:00 in "his" morning.

Thanks Arlene . Since T does not need much sleep he may be online soon unlike myself who needs 8 hours and will be going to bed shortly .

BTW if T is our "adopted brother" does that make us sisters ?

Good Morning....

We are shceduled to arrive in Richard's Bay in 45 minutes time at 7:00am.

My group for the Overnight Safari meets up at 8:00am in the Casino Bar and then we head off the ship for 38 great hours at Phinda National Game Reserve.

The weather this morning looks to be overcast currently as I am watching out the window and typing. There is a haze on the water that I can see on the horizon.

The seas last night started to get a little rough after 11:00pm but again nothing like we encountered in the past couple of days.

The Captain has just come on the P.A. system to announce that there has been a mis-communication between our port agent and the pilot and that neither is here currently to bring us in, therefore it looks like we will be approx. 30 minutes late getting into Richard's Bay and by the time they clear the ship another 30 minutes time. He is anticipating an 1 hour delay in total which will impact the tours being dispatched this morning including mine! He did say that they would sail later tonight from Richard's Bay to Durban if need be. Our regular scheduled departure is 5:00pm today.

More to follow later this morning from the Pacific Princess...

Many thanks to Carole and Norm from toronto onboard for giving me the Advill Cold and Sinus tablets last night...I think it is starting to help!

Remember all of you on here...you must carry the torch while my sea legs are on shore for the next 38 hours or so!

I am going for breakfast and may not get another chance to repost before joining my group in the Casino Bar in 1:15 minutes time...until Durban later that night....C U All Soon!

Keep this thread up and alive!!!

Good morning Tony,

Have a great time on your safari.Trust you have packed insect repellant ,sun screen and a jacket, as it can get breezy in those open 4WD vehicles when driving through the reserves.

You will have to get used to being on land again:) .

Looking forward to hearing all about your overland adventure.
