Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay in on the Saturday night before we cruise out of port Miami?

You may want to post this in the embarkation port section:eastern USA or something like that. We have sailed out of Miamii probably 15 times: if you want to be near the pier the most popular hotels are the Intercontinental and the HOliday Inn. We choose the Holiday Inn, got a good price (last Dec) and if you get on a high floor you can see the ships; other than that I was very disappointed. The rooms were ok, not special but pretty much what you would expect from an older Holiday Inn. The service was awful and the pool area not great. As for the food, well that too left a lot to be desired. The location was great, we walked to the BayShore market area. If we did the port location again we would stay at the Intercontinental. Usually we stay at either the Airport Hilton, Hampton Inn or Embassy Suites. They are all very nice. NMnita
