age old question - shoes?

What shoes for this dress:

 

The color is "eggplant".

something strappy...if you give us a better idea of the height of heel you're looking for, I'm sure everyone can give you better suggestions. Also, if there's any type of shoe you don't like (ie ones with ankle strap, ones without ankle strap, sandals that have a thong toe, etc).

Black strappy unless you are wearing hose then I'd say a black satin d'orsay.

I don't wear hose, no matter what time of year. I prefer lower heels, in the 2 to 2 1/2" range. I'm short but so is DH. Plus, I'm a sucker for comfort over height any day.

It's hard to match eggplant, so I would go with a pewter or something on that order. I would do something like the following:

Since you do not wear hose, I agree with strappy black.

ok, so when i think eggplant...I think gold shoes! oooooh!!!!

 

Gold shoes with a cute gold clutch and some gold jewelry. Maybe the eggplant color i'm thinking of is not right for gold, but if it is, I think it would really look nice together.

Some are taller than you specified that you wanted, but it's hard to find cute strappy sandals in such a short heel. Hope you find a pair you like in your search!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will probably go with black strappies, but I will check to see what my muted gold ones look like with it. Of course, the dress has to get here first!
