Upgrade question:

There is only 3 weeks until my final payment date for my Dec 7 cruise. Does Carnival give upgrades before the final due date, after or both?

 

Also, I have uploaded my picture but it will not show up when I post. It does show up under my profile. Any advice on how I can get it to pop up when I post on the boards?

Did you book a guarantee cabin? If so, that's your best chance for an upgrade. Cruise lines don't give many upgrades anymore since cruise ships are sailing over capacity, so don't really expect one. If you were going to get one, there's no telling when you'd find out---sometimes it happens weeks before your cruise and sometimes it happens when you check in for your cruise. But mostly, upgrades just don't happen at all.

I'm guessing that cruise lines don't give upgrades before final payment. They wait until after final payment, then they know who's sailing and in what cabin, and which cabins are still open.
