Excursion Clothes Question

:) Less than 3 weeks till we cruise!

 

I have a question about what to wear for an excursion to the Mayan Ruins in Cozumel? Even in October, it will probably be hot, but should I wear jeans because of mosquitoes? I really am trying to pack light!

If you bring a little bottle of mosquito repellant, shorts should be ok! They aren't as active during the day as they are around dusk. If hiking at all is involved, jeans would be miserable--sweaty denim isn't fun!

Shorts.. I didn't even take jeans when we cruise. I didn't think the mosquitos were bad.

We wore shorts in January and were quite comfortable. I think I would have been way too hot in Jeans.

We were at the San Gervasio ruins in the middle of Cozumel while on a December cruise --- it was SO humid (being from Phoenix it really hit us). Wear light colored, natural fibers --- jeans would be miserable. Also, we didn't have any bug issues (and I'm usually chewed up by mosquitos). Enjoy!
