ferry to rum point

we have been to rum point a few times, all driving....is the ferry up and running yet from the hyatt i believe i heard it was going to be by the end of this summer. or any other suggestions/ reccomondations on how to get there by boat??

The Rum Point ferry is still not in service.

 

The boat is occasionally chartered by a large group, particularly for a shore excursion run for Disney Cruise Lines. Otherwise, there are no aanounced plans at this time to resume service.

Thanks Drew. Do you know of any Van tour operator who goes to Rum Point? I am looking at the Jeep 4x4 tour to Rum Point, but would appreciate any options for larger families or groups. There is nothing offered on RCI.

We want to go to Rum Point, and do Sting Ray City, but don't want the extra snorkel trip that comes with Nativeways. I was also wondering about the ferry. DH doesn't want to rent a car, as he is nervous about driving on the left. I wish there was an excursion to Rum Point, but then it wouldn't be the beautiful, uncrowded, unspoiled beach that it is now.
