drew sailbum Posted September 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2006 The Rum Point ferry is still not in service. The boat is occasionally chartered by a large group, particularly for a shore excursion run for Disney Cruise Lines. Otherwise, there are no aanounced plans at this time to resume service. Nanatravel Posted September 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Thanks Drew. Do you know of any Van tour operator who goes to Rum Point? I am looking at the Jeep 4x4 tour to Rum Point, but would appreciate any options for larger families or groups. There is nothing offered on RCI. cruisecrazymama Posted September 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2006 We want to go to Rum Point, and do Sting Ray City, but don't want the extra snorkel trip that comes with Nativeways. I was also wondering about the ferry. DH doesn't want to rent a car, as he is nervous about driving on the left. I wish there was an excursion to Rum Point, but then it wouldn't be the beautiful, uncrowded, unspoiled beach that it is now.
