Bacardi Rum Distillery - Nassau

Does anyone know how far the Bacardi Rum Distillery is from downtown Nassau? And, is it worth it (& how much) to hire a taxi to take us out there to just do their tour (& free samples, of course)?

Sorry ... but I was still looking for the approx. cost of a taxi from downtown Nassau to the rum distillery. The place sounds good from the other posts, but I wasn't sure it would warrant the cost. If anyone has this info, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have read they only run the tour if they have enough people. These are the only taxi rates I have. If it is near the airport?

Thank you so much "zydecocruiser" ... that was exactly what I was looking for. Now I just need to decide if a $50-60 rt cab fare is worth seeing the distillery ;)
