OBX Cruisers Posted September 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2006 We'll be on the Regatta in October and are looking forward to a session or two at the Spa. We're not big Spa goers here at home and would really appreciate your advice on what you found the most relaxing.
nparmelee Posted September 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2006 You can also just tell the spa people when you make your appointment that you want a relaxing massage and they can guide you to what you might like best. I like the relaxing massages and have enjoyed the hot rock and bali style ones. DH likes the shiatsu style where they rip his body apart and put it back together. Massages are another one of those subjective things that what one person likes another one doesn't like as much.
Liv4cruzin Posted September 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2006 I had 4 massages on Regatta recently. I was trying to recuperate from a frozen shoulder. So I made 2 appointments as "shiatsu" massages; but had a talk w/ the masseur & he performed a more (painful) "trigger point" massage. He definitely knew what he was doing. At the end of the cruise, I wanted total relaxation; so I tried the "Balinese Bliss". It was simply divine & IMO more relaxing than the hot stone therapy massage. But that's just my opinion.
