April's the only month in which I haven't sailed. But I have sailed from NYC several times in several different months, so I can give an answer of sorts. I once sailed from NYC in June and it was rainy, cold, and miserable. Last March when I sailed from NYC it was sunny and relatively warm. I certainly didn't need a jacket at lifeboat drill.
