Port in Civitavecchia

Recommended Posts

I was in Civitavecchia last weekend and I didn't see any taxi cabs. At least not in the immediate vicinity of where the ship docked and where you get your luggage. Princess even had a note on the Patter (daily newsletter) that taxis were not going to be available in port. I suppose taxis were available as you came out of the port gates but it was a long ways from where our ship was docked.

Civit. is a closed port - there is a free port bus that takes you outside the port itself and the ship had shuttles for a fee into the town. But as suggested I would reserve a taxi or a tour company before hand - If they are licensed they can come into the port to meet the ship just outside the cruise building (tent).
