waitlisted cabanas

Has anyone had any luck getting a cabana when they are waitlisted? We are on the Westerdam in Dec. and I just convinced DH that we should book one, however when I tried this AM they are all waitlisted.:( Should we try for one, and is there any way to not pick a color and just take the first one that comes available?

Just like the lottery says: You can't win if you don't play.

You won't have any chance of getting a cabana of you don't get on a waitlist. You can get on the list for each and every cabana, then take whatever becomes available.

Read past threads, I called Hal shore excursion desk and was told to be put on wait list for every cabana. They did it for me.

I dont expect to get one until we actually get there and people start to cancel for iffy weather or ship is not going to stay in port as long as planned.
